Hi, my name is Bailey Smith, and I'm in this PsyD program for Clinical Psychology. So it's focused on training Psychologists who want to work in the field and work with people who are having mental health issues or just want to better themselves overall.
And so we have classes and practicum, where we have hands-on experience working with people in the community. So my practicum site is at CAPS, and I actually have my own client that I got to start seeing this semester, and just really building some foundational skills for individual therapy and getting to use the skills that I'm working on in class in session with the client.
I'm definitely glad I'm here. I think I'm in an environment in which I can thrive and going to school with a bunch of Therapist is it's different than my the rest of my schooling experience. People are super friendly and they're willing to listen to you and help you out when when you need it. It's a very supportive environment.
