My name is Andy Vaughn. I serve as president and CEO of the Alliant University System that includes the California School of Professional Psychology, among others. We are six campuses in California, one in Arizona. So we're a system that concentrates mostly on graduate-level, professional practice licensure programs.
The California School of Professional Psychology, known as, "CSPP," was founded as one of the first freestanding professional schools of psychology, in that it was a practitioner approach versus theory approach. And that's what sets us apart. And that's what we do better than anybody.
We don't have sports teams. We don't have big residential campuses. That's not who we are. We are laser-focused on the graduate school experience. And we really offer that professional experience for students that ends up in professional practice licensure programs.
In today's terms, paying attention to diversity, equity, inclusion is a must-have, right? But we were doing that when it it wasn't a must-have we were doing it before was the in thing to do. And we can go back to the 1960s, 1950s, fighting for civil rights, fighting for the underdog, making sure that everyone in our communities has a voice and an equal opportunity voice.
And I think that's what sets us apart is this is not something new for us in the last 10 or 20 years. And that really was attracted to me, finding a place that celebrates differences doesn't point them out. We really do have a DNA and a culture that goes back decades, where everyone is welcome. And we love everyone's differences to bring them all together. It makes us stronger.
So I really encourage our students looking around our website to continue doing your research but reach out to us we have on-site open houses all across California. We have virtual open houses if you're an online student, but do reach out we're here to serve you. And we're here to help so bring your questions. We'll be happy to help you out!
